In 2024, I underwent surgery to remove a spinal cord tumor. My recovery brought complications, and in the weeks that followed I found myself facing a second surgical procedure I wasn't ready to accept. With a background in design and fabrication, I built a device to help support my recovery from the outside.

That early prototype became LaminaGuard.
Since then, I've been refining the design for manufacturability, modularity, and real-world comfort, and building the clinical and industry relationships needed to bring a well-engineered paraspinal compression platform to market. LaminaGuard is currently a pre-clearance prototype under active development.
